Crossroads Foundation is a mentoring and skill building program.

Just as the name indicates, Crossroads gives young people the kits (knowledge, information, tools and skills) necessary to make decisions needed to develop their assets, prevent risky behavior and transition into a healthy adulthood. We seek to build mutually beneficial relationships between youth and their family, peer groups, school, workplace, community, and other governmental institutions, in society. The intent of these relationships is to provide opportunities for the youth to enhance their knowledge, interests, skills, and abilities. Crossroads programs engage young people in intentional, productive, and constructive ways while recognizing and enhancing their strengths. We promote positive outcomes by providing opportunities, fostering positive relationships, and giving the support that is needed to develop young people’s assets and prevent risky behavior for a successful transition into adulthood.

Providing kits (Knowledge, Information, Tools and Skills) to disadvantaged or ‘at risk’ youth through mentoring, peer to peer interactions, workforce opportunities and exposure to a wider range of networks and experiences to which they are not accustomed will provide choices that will assist them with tools to transition into a healthy adulthood.

“Children become what they see and what they know”.  We want to expose them to a healthier, flourishing environment.

There will be careful program planning, careful selection of mentors and youth, matching adults with youth, create clear and specific goals, provide training and preparation for adults and youth.

Crossroads Foundation aims to be an impact on our young people who come to a fork in the road and need assistance making very important life decisions.

A group of fine leaders with a passion to make a great impact.

We advocate changes that will improve conditions affecting young people, their families, and their community.

We attempt to foster a relationship that is too often missing from the lives of disadvantaged children and youth.

We seek to promote healthy growth and development of young people, strengthen families, and respond to the changing needs of the community.

We seek to create a movement for one-on-one relationships between adults and youth that continue over time and are focused on the youth’s development.

We encourage our youth to engage in activities to build relationships, to identify and to share goals, and to work toward accomplishing goals.

We will assist our youth with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts and identifying resources.
